Maecey McClain was born and raised in Wellston, Oklahoma. After graduating from Wellston High School, Maecey received a B.S. in Legal Studies from East Central University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma College of Law.
During her time at the University of Oklahoma College of Law, Maecey was named to the Dean’s Honor Roll. She participated in student groups such as Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity, as the Harlan Chapter Justice, and the Organization for the Advancement of Women in Law (OAWL). Maecey also spent a summer studying at the Worcester College of Oxford University in England.
In Maecey’s second year of Law School, she traveled to Washington D.C. to present a Human Rights research project for the US State Department which addressed the issue of Freedom of Speech in the country of Tunisia.
Throughout Law School, Maecey focused her studies on International law, specifically International Human Rights, and Business law. Upon graduation she found an unexpected, but passionate interest in Family Law matters including divorce, custody, guardianships, and adoptions. She currently practices family law, estate planning, probate and general civil litigation.
