Michaya graduated with honors from The University of Oklahoma College of Law, where she received her Juris Doctorate degree. While there, she earned American Jurisprudence Awards for making the top grade in Property Law and Corporate Drafting. She also earned both the Business and Transactional Law Certificate and Peacemaking Certificate. During law school, she served as a Class Representative, an Officer for the Organization for the Advancement of Women in Law, and a member of Phi Delta Phi legal honor society. She also studied law at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. Prior to law school, Michaya attended Oklahoma State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Economics with a minor in International Business.
Michaya was born and raised in Texas but has since found her home in Oklahoma City. Her desire to practice law stems from a want to help others, explore her passions, and never stop learning. In her spare time, she enjoys making pottery, traveling, reading and playing with her dogs Benny and Vail.
